On July 26, 2026, at approximately 1239 hours, I arrived at Blue Skies Riding Academy, located at 501 Puckett Rd, Emerson, GA, regarding a sexual assault that occurred at this location. Upon arrival, I made contact with [WITNESS #1], the trainer on site, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], the juvenile victim, and her mother, [REDACTED].

[VICTIM #1] stated that yesterday around 1212 hours, while she was in one of the horse stalls, holding a horse while James Wells was giving a chiropractic treatment to the horse she was holding, Wells moved around the horse towards the stall door where she was standing. As he approached her, he grabbed her by the throat with one hand, pushed her back against the stall wall, and held her there. He then asked her if she thought that if [WITNESS #1]’s boyfriend did this to [WITNESS #1], would she like it? He then released his hand from her neck and walked out of the stall as if nothing had happened. She stated that she was surprised by this action, that Wells usually has a strange sense of humor and tells dirty jokes, but this is the first time he has put his hands on her. She stated that usually her conversations with him are about the horses’ care. She said that before the battery occurred, Wells did tell her that she had a pretty face, but thought nothing of it. [VICTIM #1] had no visible injuries and stated her neck was not sore or tender where he grabbed her. When asked if she thought this was meant sexually, she said yes.

[WITNESS #1] stated that earlier in the day Wells had asked her how her relationship with her boyfriend was going, but she didn’t think anything of it at the time. She stated that Wells works on humans and horses, doing chiropractic work in Georgia and Tennessee. He comes to their location a few times a year as needed. She believes he lives in Greenback, TN, and owns a business called Wells Cryo Health Care. [WITNESS #1] did allow us to access the barn security cameras to playback video. Due to the cameras only recording during motion, and the camera was outside the stall, the battery was not captured on video.

The two clips of video before and after the battery were uploaded to the Coreforce website.

[REDACTED] stated she does desire prosecution for the sexual battery against her daughter.

Wells was not on scene while Deputies were there.

Deputies were not able to get any vehicle information except that it is a large Dodge or Chevrolet truck with black rims, a black brush guard, and gray in color.
