On Sunday, May 10, 2026, at approximately 0018 hours, I responded to a disturbance at 120 5 Erwin Street The Local Bar and Grill. Bartow County dispatch advised that the suspect had a knife, and another Male had been stabbed.

Upon my arrival, I saw a male lying later identified as the victim in the parking lot across the street from the Local Bar and Grill. Several people were administering first aid and applying pressure to the wounds. Other CPD officers and I were on scene and began securing the crime scene. All parties there advised that the suspect later identified as Jeremiah Lambert had left the scene in a white Honda with Texas plates. The suspect was described as a white male with a long red beard and tattoos. I then began to speak with several witnesses on scene.

I spoke with [WITNESS #1], whom I noticed first. He stated that he was helping render aid. [WITNESS #1] had blood on his white T-shirt from rendering aid to the victim. [WITNESS #1] stated that he observed the victim Mr. [VICTIM #1] getting stabbed, and right after the altercation, he immediately started rendering first aid.

I spoke with [WITNESS #2]. He stated that he was the bartender and that he was the one who kicked the suspect out of the bar. He stated that the suspect started getting rowdy with someone else, but was unsure of who it was. [WITNESS #2] stated that they had a “no angry policy”. He stated to the suspect that if he was angry, he didn’t want him in the bar starting fights.

[WITNESS #2] then stated to the suspect that he needed to go outside, and the suspect told [WITNESS #2] that he would “flip him”. [WITNESS #2] said he believed that the suspect had three girls with him who helped escort him outside. [WITNESS #2] also stated that once the suspect was outside of the bar, everyone came back inside. [WITNESS #2] stated that’s when he locked the doors because the suspect had made a statement about bringing a gun. [WITNESS #2] also closed the blinds so that the suspect could not see anyone inside.

I then spoke with another bartender, [WITNESS #3]. [WITNESS #3] stated that the suspect had short hair and was wearing a white shirt. [WITNESS #3] took pictures of the vehicle a white honda sedan, the suspect, and a female that was with him.

[WITNESS #3] also stated that when the suspect arrived, he was causing a scene and was hostile. She stated that he was already intoxicated, and he was at the bar for approximately 5 minutes before he was told to get out. She stated that she was on the patio pouring drinks when the suspect went out to the parking lot, and that was when she heard the commotion going on in the parking lot. After the incident, [WITNESS #3] observed the suspect get in the car with the three females and leave the area. [WITNESS #3] took pictures of the suspect’s vehicle and described it as a white Honda. [WITNESS #3] stated that she could not get a clear picture of the tag.

I then made contact with [WITNESS #4]. [WITNESS #4] stated that the suspect was combative with everyone inside the bar. When the suspect arrived, he was using racial slurs and bumping into people, and was asked to leave the bar by the bartender. The suspect continued being confrontational. [WITNESS #4] heard the threats and decided to go to his car, which happened to be right next to the suspect’s vehicle. As he approached his car, he heard the threats about a gun. [WITNESS #4] stated that at this point, Mr. [VICTIM #1] attempted to diffuse the situation and was trying to separate the two. [WITNESS #4] stated that he heard Mr. [VICTIM #1] trying to get the suspect to get in his car and go home.

This is when [WITNESS #4] observed the suspect pull a knife on Mr. [VICTIM #1] and begin to stab him. [WITNESS #4] then stated that he grabbed his cell phone in his back pocket and acted like he had a gun. [WITNESS #4] advised the suspect that he was going to shoot him. This is when the suspect entered the vehicle with the 3 females and left the scene. The vehicle [WITNESS #4] was driving was a rental vehicle (2025 Jeep Compass, NC tag), and I observed blood on the driver’s side door and behind the vehicle. This was approximately 15 feet away from where Mr. [VICTIM #1] was lying in the parking lot.

At this point, EMS had arrived and were treating Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] had multiple puncture wounds. He was stabbed on the left side of his upper shoulder and the lower part of his neck. He was also stabbed in his right arm and back. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was alert and conscious, and EMS notified us that he was in stable condition. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was transported to Piedmont Cartersville for further treatment.

Several units responding to the area located the white Honda and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle (2015 White Honda Civic bearing TX tag). I was advised by radio that the suspect was not in the vehicle, but there were 3 females inside.

CID was contacted and responded to the scene. Sergeant Wilkey, Lt. Albright, Detective Gray, and Detective Lara all arrived at our location. The investigation was turned over to CID.
