On Tuesday, May 13th, 2025, at 1733 hours, I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Village Green Village Drive, in Adairsville, Georgia, in reference to a domestic in progress.

Upon arrival, I spoke with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] said that she and her husband, Jesse Thrash were in a verbal altercation in their bedroom over Jesse having an affair. She said she confronted him about the affair and he confirmed that he was having an affair. She said that after she mentioned it to him, he became irate, grabbed her, and threw her onto the bed. She said while on the bed, he pushed his forearm onto her throat, which caused her to be unable to breath. She said that she started to see “black and white” and at some point managed to take a breath and apologized to him so he would cease choking her.

She then said that he attempted to kiss her while on the bed, and she told him to get off of her.

She then said after sometime the argument continued outside of the residence in the driveway. During this time, she asked him for a lighter, which she said was thrown at her, striking her in the head and causing injury. While speaking with her, I observed a laceration on the right side of her forehead, which was actively bleeding. I also observed redness on her throat. Photographs of her injuries were taken.

I then spoke with Jesse. Jesse confirmed that [VICTIM #1] confronted him about having an affair. He said that [VICTIM #1] got too close to him, so he bear hugged her, tried to kiss her, and told her to not get close to him. He said that the argument led outside of the residence and [VICTIM #1] was leaving in her car. He said he did throw the lighter, but said that it was unintentional. He further stated that his aim was good and hitting her was not his intent. I asked him how she obtained the injury on her neck and he said he did not know how it happened.

It was discovered while on scene that both of their children, identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were present when he threw the lighter.

Due to the physical injury on [VICTIM #1], in addition to her statements and both children being present, the following warrants were taken:
(1) Aggravated Assault- Strangulation FVA
(1) Battery- FVA
(2) Cruelty To Children-3rd degree

Jesse was placed under arrest and transported to The Bartow County Detention Center without incident.
