On February 20, 2025 at 1359 hours was dispatched to [4000 BLOCK] New Hope Church Road, Acworth, GA in regards to a sexual assault.

I spoke with [VICTIM #1] via phone. [VICTIM #1] stated on January 4, 2025 while staying with a friend at the residence listed above she was sexually assaulted by a Joshua Cavin.

[VICTIM #1] stated she was staying with her friend and Joshua the night of January 3 drinking and hanging out. [VICTIM #1] stated she, Joshua and her friend all drank too much and fell asleep in the same bed. [VICTIM #1] stated her friend woke up and left leaving Joshua and her in the bed alone.

[VICTIM #1] stated Joshua reached over trying to cuddle when she informed Joshua who she was. [VICTIM #1] stated Joshua moved away and they went back to sleep. [VICTIM #1] said a few minutes later Joshua was rubbing her va*ina over her pants. [VICTIM #1] said she told Joshua to stop numerous times and then he finally did. [VICTIM #1] said a few moments later Joshua was trying to pull her pants down and finally succeeded with getting her pants pulled down. [VICTIM #1] said while her pants were pulled down Joshua was trying to move her panties off to the side. [VICTIM #1] said she got up and went to the bathroom to get away from Joshua.

[VICTIM #1] stated she was able to gather her belongings and Joshua gave her a ride home.

[VICTIM #1] stated she wasn’t sure if she should make a report at the time but after sometime she decided to make the report.
