On Monday, September 7th 2026, I M.D.MERCADO with the Adairsville Police department was dispatched to a domestic disturbance at approximately 1438 hours located on 7867 HWY 140 (TACO BELL), Adairsville GA, 30103.
I arrived on scene and met with a TACO BELL employee who stated that a couple inside the restaurant had gotten into a physical alteraction. TACO BELL employee stated that multiple witnesses were concerned, and brought it to the TACO BELL Mangement attention that a older female Asian woman was slapping and punching a older Asian male.
I spoke with KANG SOOK CHO and her husband [VICTIM #1], I introduced myself and the agency I worked for. I observed that both Mrs. CHO and Mr. [VICTIM #1] had a difficult time understanding english, Mrs. CHO stated in broken english that she had a difficult understanding but explained that her husband “lies” and that she admitted to slapped him “three times”.
I then spoke with two witnesses ([WITNESS #1] & [WITNESS #2] who stated that they had observed Mrs. CHO slap and punch Mr. [VICTIM #1] multiple times. Both witnesses had wrote a written voluntary witness statement and stated that the Mr. [VICTIM #1] looked in distress and they did not witness Mr. [VICTIM #1] hit his wife Mrs. CHO back.
Witness [WITNESS #1] then showed me a video he had recorded on his phone. I observed in the video Mrs. CHO sitting across Mr. [VICTIM #1] in the TACO BELL restaurant, Mrs. CHO then close fist punches Mr. [VICTIM #1] in the face.
Taco Bell management then emailed me a different video where Mrs. CHO slapped Mr. [VICTIM #1] in the face. I observed red marks on Mr. [VICTIM #1] left cheek. I took photographs of Mr. [VICTIM #1] face.
I then handcuffed Mrs. CHO behind her back cuffs, cuffs double locked and checked for proper fitting. Mrs. CHO was then explained that she was being placed in the back of the patrol car and arrested but Mrs. CHO stated she does not speak english.
