On Thursday, May 15, 2025 at approximately 1515 hours, I was dispatched to a disorderly subject at McDonalds on 266 Dixie Ave. The call stated a white shirtless male was pulling a knife on customer, beating on the windows and being verbally irate.

Upon arrival contact was made with Mr. Michael Bearden, who was pointed out by the McDonalds employees as the male causing the issues, a knife was found on Mr. Bearden’s person along with a large metal pole.

Mr. Bearden was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct due to this being the third complaint we have had for behavior in the past hour. A CTW was issued to Mr. Bearden at 1415 hours, case # 2025-00011859. A complaint was called in on Mr. Bearden at 1459 hours for yelling at 134 N Market Place. Mr. Bearden was placed under arrest by placing his hands behind his back and cuffing them. The hand cuffs were checked for a safe fit and double locked for security. A search of Mr. Bearden’s person was performed and yielded a second knife but no illegal contraband. Mr. Bearden was placed into the back seat of a agency issued marked patrol car and transported to the Bartow County Jail, 104 Zena Drive, were he was turned over to custody of the Bartow County Jail Staff. A search of the back seat of the agency issued marked patrol car was performed and yielded no illegal contraband.

I spoke with McDonalds employees Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #2]. Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #2] stated they saw Mr. Bearden pull a knife on a vehicle and the vehicle sped off. After that Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #2] stated Mr. Bearden was striking the windows and chasing people with the knife. Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #2] stated they were in fear for their lives but did not wish to press additional charges.

A Polaris link was provided to upload footage from the Incident at McDonalds.

Mr. Bearden’s items were turned over to personal property at the Cartersville Police Department.
