On May 14, 2026 at around 01:32 hrs, I Sgt. A. Martinez was dispatched to 100 Princeton Blvd, in reference to an Unknown Problem, two males unconscious in a vehicle in the drive through of McDonalds.

Upon Arrival Ofc. Rigdon approached the vehicle, spotting two males, the driver was completely flat sleeping and the passenger was also found in a laid back position but conscious. He ordered them to step out of the vehicle while doing so, he spotted a bottle of Don Julio in the driver seat, and could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle.

I then spoke with the driver, later identified as Mr. Ronald Green, and during our conversation I detected the odor of alcohol coming from his person, along with noticeable redness and watery eyes. Mr. Green remained leaned against my push bumper throughout the interaction and did not stand upright at any point. I kept talking to them, as Ofc. Rigdon and Ofc. Blackmon searched the vehicle, they found the marijuana in a multi colored bag in the passenger seat. The Passenger later identified as Mr. Zeke Chester claimed the marijuana.

I then asked the driver if he would agree to do a Portable Breathalyzer Test, and he denied. I then placed the driver under arrest, double locked his hand cuffs and searched his outer garments before placing him in the back of my vehicle. While under custody I then read Mr. Green implied consent for over the age of 21 and he refused at 01:55 hours.

The passenger Mr. Chester claimed the marijuana inside the vehicle, and he was placed under arrest, handcuffs placed behind his back, and double locked his handcuffs to prevent further tightening for marijuana less than one ounce, he was placed in the back of Ofc. Blackmon’s vehicle.

I then Proceeded to transport Mr. Green to the Bartow County Jail where he was released to the Jail Staff without further incident. He was given 2 citations, one for DUI Less Safe and one for Open Container distilled spirits.

Simultaneously, Mr. Chester was transported to the Adairsville Police Department where he was fingerprinted, booked and photographed. He was given a citation for Marijuana Less than one Ounce. The Marijuana was then weighed at 2.9 grams. It was later put into evidence locker #005

Because of the implied consent refusal, Mr. Green’s license was taken from his person and would be turned over to the Department of Driver Services.
