On September 9, 2026 at approximately 2206 hours, I Officer B.Nesbitt #012 with the Adairsville Police Department responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in Adairsville, Bartow County, Georgia in reference to a subject who was bleeding from his hand after cutting himself with a knife and the call taker with 911 could hear yelling and arguing in the background.
Upon arrival on scene, I immediately heard yelling coming from inside the house and it appeared to be a male voice. I observed the front door was open and I observed a female later identified as [VICTIM #1] standing near the door. I approached the front door and asked [VICTIM #1] if I could come in in which she pointed to the kitchen where I observed a male with his hand in the sink later identified as Samuel Jones. I observed a substantial amount of red substance that appeared to be blood in the living room and more substantial in the kitchen. I also observed Samuel appeared to be highly intoxicated due to his behavior and yelling along with the slurring of his word’s and unsteadiness while standing. Samuel then began yelling ” I didn’t ask for any damn police I just want EMS”.
I then calmly advised Samuel I was just there to assist EMS and to check his well being due to the nature of the call. Samuel continued to be verbally aggressive and then began stating “Just go ahead and shoot me I don’t give a f*ck anymore I’m ready to die”. I then began trying to deescalate Samuel in which he eventually calmed down but continued cussing and yelling. EMS arrived on scene several minutes later and began checking Samuel’s injuries to his hand in which he was transported by Metro EMS. I began speaking with [VICTIM #1] about further information about the incident when I observed the back door window pane had been busted out and glass was shattered and laying on the kitchen floor as if someone had punched it from the outside.
I asked [VICTIM #1] how the glass was broken and she stated “I guess it happened while he was mad and that’s probably how he cut his hand”. [VICTIM #1] then stated they were arguing around 5pm when she think’s that’s when he punched the glass and cut his hand. I then asked why she waited 5 hour’s later to call 911 and she stated Samuel left and then came back. I then followed what appeared to be a blood trail from the kitchen and rear door all the way to the ground next to his driver’s side door of his truck and then looked through the side window and observed what appeared to be blood all over the interior of the vehicle. I asked [VICTIM #1] if I could go back inside and take photograph’s of all of the suspected blood in which she stated I could not go back in the residence. I was also unable to obtain both of the Juveniles name due to [VICTIM #1]’s unccoperation.
Due to Samuel’s apparent injuries he was transported by Metro EMS and I took out arrest warrant’s on Samuel for Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct.
At approximately 0555 hours, I went back to the residence at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and observed Samuel inside a window at the residence. I knocked on the door and asked him to come outside in which he complied and was placed under arrest for his outstanding warrant’s. Samuel was transported to the Bartow County Jail where custody was relinquished to jail staff.
