On Monday June 8, 2026 around at 1036 hours I Lt. Smith was working the front lobby of the Sheriff’s Annex at 111 Third St. when I was approached by a male named [VICTIM #1].
He stated he was contacted by a female named Amber Ates at 0819 hours. He let me listen to the voicemail she left. In the voicemail she was using profanity towards him and saying “I don’t give a fu*k about a PTO!” ” I’m not going to court!” “Quit giving out this address!” He then stated he has taken a TPO on her however it has not been served. I confirmed that with Lt. Rickert from our Civil Division. After leaving that voicemail, she then called him 9 more times from a blocked number. He did send me screen shots of the call log from his phone.
A warrant will be signed on Amber Ates for Harassing Phone calls at a later time.
