On 6-23-2026 I Cpl D. Jones responded to [1900 BLOCK] Fletcher Street in reference to a person cut.
Upon my arrival I made contact with black male victim Mr. [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was around the corner when the incident occurred. [VICTIM #1] stated the accused suspect Mr. Artis Hudson got upset because he was urinating outside by his house. Artis stated they both engaged in a verbal argument when [VICTIM #1] picked up a stick. Hudson stated he know [VICTIM #1] has mental issues and was intoxicated so he got him before he was able to hit him. I spoke with [VICTIM #1] who stated he was walking down Lincoln Street when Hudson approached him and cut him. [VICTIM #1] stated he never swung on Hudson.
[VICTIM #1] suffered a small laceration in the crease of his right arm which appeared to have been none life threatening at the time. He was later transported by ambulance to Atrium Hospital to be treated for his injury. Hudson was later transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Aggravated Assault.
I made contact with investigator Shockley and made him aware of the incident. Lt D.Porter was also notified as well. At the time I made contact with Hudson he had a small pocket knife on his person. That knife will be turned over to the crime lab as evidence.
