On Sunday April 7 2024 at approximately 0806 hours I Deputy Baltimore was dispatch to 4961 Log Cabin Dr (Sunoco) in reference to a Person Shot.
I arrived and the victim Mr, [VICTIM #1] (victim) was laying on the floor bleeding with a gun shot wound in the stomach area that went in the front and threw the back. Mr. [WITNESS #1] (witness) was also on scene and assisting Mr. [VICTIM #1] until BSO/Ambulance arrived.
Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated Mr. Edwardo Bigelow (suspect) came in the store and wanted to purchase a black and mild, Mr. [VICTIM #1] did refused to sell the item to the male subject due to not having an ID, a verbal argument pursued and Mr. [VICTIM #1] comes out the booth to tells the male subject to leave the store.
At the time Mr. [VICTIM #1] goes back in the booth, and Mr. Bigelow goes out to the vehicle he came in grabbed the gun from in the vehicle puts it in his waistband and comes back into the store. Another verbal argument pursued and it is seen on video footage of Mr. [VICTIM #1] coming back out the booth walking in the direction of Mr. Bigelow they have a verbal stand off argument, then it turns into a tussle where it is seen Mr. Bigelow pulling out a Firearm and shooting Mr. [VICTIM #1] one time with it and walk out the store gets into his car and leave the scene.
Mr. [WITNESS #1] calls BSO reports a shooting and assist Mr. [VICTIM #1] to stop the bleeding, Upon my arrival I immediately asses the situation to confirm a shooting and get the chest seal and place it on Mr. [VICTIM #1] until ambulance arrive. I then get Mr. [WITNESS #1] and Mr. [VICTIM #1] statement while EMS on scene. The store owner arrives on scene and I was able to view the footage of the incident and it shows the verbal altercation turn Aggravated in minutes.
Person investigator Bridger was notified and arrived on scene, A statement was taken and recorded on body camera from Mr. Bigelow about the incident. A shell casing was found inside the store front near the front door and will be placed in the crime lab with the recovered Firearm which was a Smith&Wesson 9V. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was transported to Navicent with non- life threathening injuries at this time, there is no further information to report at this time incident is still an on going investigation.
