On April 18th, 2026 around 7:30 P.M. I responded to [700 BLOCK] Edwards Avenue, within Macon-Bibb County Georgia in reference to an aggravated assault.
Upon arrival I met with Mr. [VICTIM #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #1]. They advised that they were outside Ms. [WITNESS #1] house located at [700 BLOCK] Edwards Avenue when “Geo” who is Ms. [WITNESS #1]’s daughter boyfriend came walking up. They advised that “Geo” asked why they were laughing at him, which they replied that they were not. At this point “Geo” brandished a firearm, raised it up, pointing it at Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Ms. [WITNESS #1]’s got between them to de-escalate the incident as Mr. [VICTIM #1] fled the scene.
Moments later Ms. [WITNESS #1] daughter got “Geo” into her vehicle and fled the scene. Ms. [WITNESS #1] would advise me that her daughter and “Geo” live at [700 BLOCK] Pansy Avenue around the block from her house. Sgt. Grube and I went to the address on Pansy. I went to the front door and Sgt. Grube went to the back door. While I was talking to Ms. Carrisma Funches at the front “Geo” later identified as Govannio Dillard looked out the back door.
I asked Ms. Funches if her boyfriend “Geo” was at the house, she advised that he was not there. I asked her what happened at her mothers house, she advised nothing. Entry was made into Ms. Funches house where Mr. Dillard was located hiding in the children’s bedroom. When told to put his hands behind his back he actively resisted, pulling away and turning access to his wrist to be cuffed. Mr. Dillard was placed on the floor where he continued to resist being cuffed.
After his arrest he was placed in the back seat of my car, Mr. Dillard actively resisted being put in the car. Once in the car he maneuvered around and kicked at the rear left door causing the door to bow out at the top. Mr. Dillard was transported to the Bibb County LEC where he has been charged with these three new charges in addition to his outstanding warrant from Bibb County Superior Court.
Crime victim case card given.
