On April 22, 2026, at approximately 22:09 hours I, Deputy M. Jones, was dispatched to [2600 BLOCK] Bloomfield Way in Macon-Bibb County, GA. The call was of an unknown nature.

Upon my arrival I made contact with [VICTIM #1]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised me that her children’s father, Jaalyn Derran Ford, attacked her.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that at approximately 20:00 hours she heard a knock at her front door. When she asked, “who is it?” she did not hear a response. The knocking continued and Ms. [VICTIM #1] eventually opened the door. Jaalyn forced his way in. Ms. [VICTIM #1] accuses Jaalyn of pushing her, punching her in the right eye, and choking her. Jaalyn allegedly used his arm to choke Ms. [VICTIM #1] from the rear. She advised that she does not recall losing consciousness. The attack occurred in the presence of their juvenile children. I observed injuries consistent with Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s claims. A swollen red right eye. She had a small laceration on the inside of her top lip. There appeared to be bruising on the front of her neck.

After the attack Jaalyn fled the scene with Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s black iPhone XR and her keys. He drove away in a 2015 silver Nissan Rogue (Tag #: [REDACTED]). Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised me that Jaalyn resides at [300 BLOCK] Rogers Ave apt [REDACTED]. I took photos of Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s injuries. She left the scene with her children to stay with family for the night.

I attempted to make contact with Jaalyn via phone but was not successful. I also attempted to make contact with him at his residence with support from Sgt. Stokes. His vehicle was on scene and was registered to him, but I did not receive a response to my knocks at his door.

Warrants will be taken.

A case card was given to Ms. [VICTIM #1]. She was advised to contact the Crisis Safe House. She was also advised of the TPO process.
