On 01/26/2025, I, Corporal M.Grube, responded to 777 Hemlock Street (Atrium Health Navicent) in reference to a person shot that occurred at [5500 BLOCK] Riverside Drive. Deputies responded to the incident location and secured it.
Upon arrival, I made contact with the victim, [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] was brought in by a black in color Chevrolet Malibu. [VICTIM #1] appears to have a gun shot wound to his chest (left) and cut to his forehead. [VICTIM #1] was immediately taken back for treatment.
I made contact with [WITNESS #1], who advised that Ji’Keem “Stank” King had pistol whipped [VICTIM #1] over at the apartment complex and that Stank began shooting at [VICTIM #1] when [VICTIM #1] tried to get away.
Sgt. C. Lewis of Persons Investigations was notified.
A loaded .40 caliber Glock magazine was collected from [VICTIM #1]’ jacket. Magazine will be turned in to the Crime Lab.
[VICTIM #1] stated that he was at the apartment complex and that as he was walking out someone pistol whipped him. [VICTIM #1] stated that he got to the car and someone began shooting and he realized that he had been shot. [VICTIM #1] stated that he does not know who pistol whipped or shot him.
