On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at approximately 2020 hours, I, Cpl. Raines responded to [6300 BLOCK] Moseley Dixon Rd in reference to a fight.

Upon my arrival, I met with [VICTIM #1], who stated that he was walking when Jimmy Middlebrooks walked up to him with his dog and tased him in the left forearm. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Middlebrooks tried to tase him 3 times. He stated he did not hit Mr. Middlebrooks. He stated he tried to grab the taser.

I then went to Mr. Middlebrooks’s apartment [REDACTED] to speak to him. He stated he was walking his dog when Mr. [VICTIM #1] was walking towards him. He stated he tried to tase him and tased himself instead. I asked if Mr. [VICTIM #1] at any time hit him. He then got irritated, stating what you going to take me to jail. I asked again if the victim had hit him. He stated no. He kept stating he was walking his dog. Mr. Middlebrooks’s girlfriend stated that he was walking the dog. She then stated that she was not outside. I then had another Deputy to ask if Mr. [VICTIM #1] hit Mr. Middlebrooks. The suspect then stated no, he did not hit me, what I’m supposed to wait until I’m hit.

I then detained Mr. Middlebrooks and placed him in the back of my patrol vehicle. I then went and retrieved the black taser (230354162) from the apartment. Mr. [VICTIM #1] showed me where the marks were from the taser. The marks aligned with the tips on the taser. Mr. [VICTIM #1] declined EMS at this time. The taser will be placed in the crime lab. Mr. Middlebrooks was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
