On 08/17/2026, I, Dep. Tre. Lewis, responded to [4000 BLOCK] Log Cabin Dr., Macon-Bibb County, Georgia, in reference to a possible assault.
Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1], who stated that he resided at the residence with his wife and John Becker, the owner of the residence. [VICTIM #1] stated that he had been away from the residence for approximately three days because his wife was hospitalized. [VICTIM #1] advised that he returned to the residence to retrieve clothing before returning to the hospital to be with his wife.
[VICTIM #1] stated that when he arrived at the residence and attempted to enter, John Becker was standing at the front door and refused to allow him inside. [VICTIM #1] stated that while he was attempting to enter the residence, John Becker swung a golf club and struck him in the left chest/nipple area. [VICTIM #1] stated that the strike caused him to fall out of the residence and onto the ground.
I observed visible swelling and red bruising to [VICTIM #1]’s left chest/nipple area. [VICTIM #1] further stated that after he fell to the ground, John Becker pointed a sharp, knife-like object with a brown and tan handle toward him and threatened to kill him if he attempted to enter the residence again. [VICTIM #1] stated that John Becker’s actions caused him to fear for his safety.
After obtaining [VICTIM #1]’s statement, I, along with assisting deputies, made contact with John Becker, who was located in the basement portion of the residence where [VICTIM #1] and his wife resided.
John Becker stated that he did threaten [VICTIM #1] because he believed [VICTIM #1] had moved out after being gone from the residence for approximately three days. Becker stated that he no longer wanted [VICTIM #1] living at the residence. Becker further stated that he had witnessed [VICTIM #1] and his wife being transported to the hospital by ambulance. Becker stated that [VICTIM #1]’s wife was welcome to stay at and return to the residence, but [VICTIM #1] was not.
I advised John Becker that he could not remove [VICTIM #1] from the residence by force and that he would need to use the proper legal eviction process through the courts, particularly if [VICTIM #1] was contributing to the residence.
While on scene, I observed a golf club resting near the front door/entrance of the residence. Based on [VICTIM #1]’s statement, the visible injuries observed on [VICTIM #1], John Becker’s admission to threatening [VICTIM #1], and the golf club being located at the reported location, John Becker was placed into custody.
John Becker was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without further incident.
