On Wed. 07-01-26 at 1108, I (Sgt. Bruce) received a call to report to [1900] Woodland Dr. in reference to a death investigation.

I made contact with EMS on the scene. I spoke to Mr. John O’Conner (Son of [REDACTED]), who stated that he got up late this morning and found his mother, [REDACTED], on the sofa chair unresponsive. I surveyed the scene, and nothing appeared to be suspicious that a crime had been committed. Deputy Coroner Luann Stone arrived on the scene, and the death time is 1147 hours.

During my investigation, I discovered that [REDACTED] went to the hospital on June 19th, 2026, at about 0100 hours, claiming her son, John O’Conner, had assaulted her. I checked the CAD and discovered that Sgt. Sampson responded to the scene that night (Case 2026-53515), and according to Sgt. Sampson’s report, [REDACTED] recanted her statement that her son assaulted her. [REDACTED] had bruising and possible broken ribs from the alleged assault. I spoke to Lt. Inzar by phone and advised him of the incident. I did question Mr. O’Conner about the situation, and he admitted that he and [REDACTED] got into a domestic dispute, and he pushed her down, but he and his mother have been getting along well since the week or so she has been home.
