On May 16, 2026, at 1410 hours, I, Deputy N. Holmes, was dispatched to 3124 Broadway (Freedom Funding and Leasing), in reference to a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, I met with [VICTIM #1], who stated that his girlfriend, Keya Knighton, was at the establishment to purchase a vehicle. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that as they were sitting in the office with the owner, [WITNESS #1], Ms. Knighton began an argument about the vehicle being purchased. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that during the argument, Ms. Knighton got up from her chair and started choking him, leaving a red bruise on the left side of his neck. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that Ms. Knighton’s daughter picked her up from 3124 Broadway and transported her to the hospital.
While speaking with Mr. [WITNESS #1], he stated that Ms. Knighton began the argument over the vehicle purchase and got up from her chair, which was on the opposite side of the room, and grabbed Mr. [VICTIM #1] by his neck and started choking him.
Mr. [VICTIM #1] was given a victim’s pamphlet and advised of different services. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was given a case number with the officers’ information
Ms. Knighon will have a warrant for Aggravated Assault and family violence.
