On Saturday June 6th, 2026, at approximately 2035 hours, I, Deputy Erceg was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a aggravated stalking.
Upon arrival I spoke with the victim, [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that she has a TPO against her husband, Mr. Loren Rathel. [VICTIM #1] did show me a copy of the TPO on her phone. The TPO stated that Mr. Rathel was not to contact [VICTIM #1] or attempt to contact her through anyone else. Her daughter, [VICTIM #2], is also listed as a protected party on the TPO. The TPO also stated that their address was not to be disclosed. [VICTIM #1] showed me a screenshot that [VICTIM #2] sent to her. The screenshot showed a text received today at 2010 hours saying, “I need to talk to [VICTIM #1].” [VICTIM #1] said that she had Mr. Rathel’s phone number blocked so she could not see the text, but the text was from Mr. Rathel to a group chat that included both her and [VICTIM #2]. I attempted to contact Seminole County several times to verify the TPO was served, but they continued to send me to a voicemail box that was full.
On Monday June 8th, 2026, at approximately 1205 hours, I, Deputy Erceg spoke with [VICTIM #1] via telephone, and she advised me that Mr. Rathel has called her phone several times on two different days. She stated she needed to file another report due to the additional TPO violations. She sent me the screenshots of where she had three missed calls from Mr. Rathel on June 7th, 2026, and three missed calls from him on June 8th, 2026. [VICTIM #1] has forwarded me a copy of the TPO and copy of where the TPO was served.
I provided [VICTIM #1] with a case card and warrants will be taken for Mr. Rathel.
