On September 1, 2026, at 1528 hours, I, Deputy N. Holmes, was dispatched to 3705 Irwinton Road (Citgo gas station) in reference to a fight and disorderly conduct.
Upon arrival, Roderick Jackson was standing inside the store after being asked to leave multiple times. Mr. Jackson was taken down to the ground by Deputy Binion and me. Mr. Jackson was placed in handcuffs and placed in the back of my marked patrol vehicle.
After Mr. Jackson was placed in the back of my marked patrol vehicle, I spoke with [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was in the passenger seat when Mr. Jackson walked up to the vehicle as they were parked waiting to pay for gas, and stated, “Hey, cuz,” when he recognized Ms. [VICTIM #2] in the driver’s seat. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that Mr. Jackson asked for money, and he told Mr. Jackson he didn’t have any money. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that he then exited the vehicle and Mr. Jackson struck him in the face on the right side with a closed fist, causing a small laceration on the inside of his mouth. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that he fell back onto the vehicle after Mr. Jackson struck him in the face.
When speaking with Ms. [VICTIM #2], she stated that as she was in the driver’s seat waiting to give her husband, Mr. [VICTIM #1], the money to pay for the gas, Mr. Jackson approached the vehicle and stated, “Hey, cuz”. Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated that Mr. Jackson asked for money, and Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated to him that they didn’t have any money. Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated that when Mr. [VICTIM #1] exited the vehicle, Mr. Jackson struck Mr. [VICTIM #1] in the face with a closed fist, causing him to fall back on the vehicle. Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated that she exited her vehicle and saw Mr. [VICTIM #1]’ mouth bleeding, and she walked up to Mr. Jackson and stated, “I know you just didn’t hit him”. Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated that as she was walking up to Mr. Jackson, the store owner, [VICTIM #3], arrived and tried to intervene, and Mr. [VICTIM #3] was struck in the face with a closed fist.
I spoke with Mr. [VICTIM #3], and he stated that he arrived to work at approximately 1430 hours, and when he arrived, he saw Mr. Jackson strike Mr. [VICTIM #1] in the face with a closed fist. Mr. [VICTIM #3] stated that he exited his vehicle and tried to de-escalate the situation. Mr. [VICTIM #1] asked Mr. Jackson why he struck Mr. [VICTIM #1] in the face, and Mr. Jackson turned and walked towards him and struck him in the face on the left side, causing bruising to his face and chipping his front tooth on the left side.
Mr. [VICTIM #3] stated that he pulled out his firearm after being struck in the face and asked Mr. Jackson to leave the business. Mr. Jackson left the business and returned a few moments later and stood in front of the business. Mr. [VICTIM #3] stated that when he walked inside the store, Mr. Jackson followed him inside the store, and he asked him several times to leave the store, and Mr. Jackson refused.
Mr. [VICTIM #3] provided me with video footage of the incident.
Mr. and [Ms] [VICTIMS] and Mr [VICTIM# 3] were given a victim’s pamphlet along with the officer’s information.
Mr. Jackson was transported to the Bibb LEC without incident and charged with criminal trespass, battery, and aggravated battery.
