 On June 06/27/2025 at 08:15 am I Dep. T. Lewis and FTO Lewis responded to a person cut call at [5500 BLOCK] Houston rd Apt [REDACTED]. When we arrived on scene we met with Sgt Dorough speaking with Shykemia Rouse about her hand being cut by her boyfriend [VICTIM #1]. Rouse stated that her and Mr. [VICTIM #1] had just got home from work around 7:30a.m. Then Rouse and [VICTIM #1] begin to have a verbal dispute. Rouse stated that the purpose of the argument was [VICTIM #1] was accusing her of talking to other men when the argument escalated Rouse stated that she grabbed a knife from the kitchen and was arguing with him. Rouse then stated that [VICTIM #1] grabbed a knife from the kitchen, and they were both arguing. When Rouse was asked how [VICTIM #1] cut her hand, she stated that she does not remember she just realized she was bleeding.

After Mr. [VICTIM #1] was detained, he was read his Miranda rights and agreed to questioning. [VICTIM #1] stated that they both a had just got home from work when he walked into the house, Rouse was standing in the kitchen walk area with two knifes in her hand arguing with him about talking to other women. [VICTIM #1] stated while they were arguing he was going to the bedroom to get his clothes and leave. Rouse told him no he was not leaving and was standing in the hallway in front of their bedroom with a kitchen knife in each hand. [VICTIM #1] stated that while Rouse was standing in the hallway, she had both knives postured in an aggressive manner while arguing with him. [VICTIM #1] stated the way Rouse was holding the knife was her part of her grip was on the sharp blade of the knife with the rest of her hand was placed on the handle of the knife [VICTIM #1] stated that she cut herself while she was holding the knife. [VICTIM #1] stated that he never had a knife in his hand he was just trying to leave. After investigation Rouse did cut herself and got treated at Navicent Health Hospital.
