On July 3, 2026, I, Deputy Mode, and FTO Cpl. Saidi were dispatched to 400 Charter Blvd, Piedmont Macon North Hospital, regarding a domestic. Upon arrival, I spoke with the complainant, [WITNESS #1].
[WITNESS #1] is the mother of the Victim, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] [WITNESS #1] stated that she and her family were driving home from having a family day at Stone Mountain. She stated that her husband, Mr. Redmond, became agitated about the music being at a low volume. [WITNESS #1] stated that he began turning the volume up, which was distracting her from driving. [WITNESS #1] stated that she went to turn the volume down when Mr. Redmond got upset and turned the Air Conditioning off and stated, If I cannot have music, then y’all cannot have air.” [WITNESS #1] stated that she grabbed the AC knob and began turning it on when Mr. Redmond grabbed her arm and began squeezing it, causing her pain while he also was grabbing the steering wheel while she was driving. [WITNESS #1] stated that her daughter grabbed Mr. Redmond’s beard to stop him from hurting her arm, and that is when he grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] arm and twisted it so hard she began screaming in pain. [WITNESS #1] stated that when Mr. Redmond did this, he stated, “That’s what you get for pulling my beard b*tch” to [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
I spoke to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] with her mother’s permission [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that her father was intoxicated from drinking at Stone Mountain. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that they were driving home and that he father became upset about the music. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Mr. Redmond began hurting her mother’s arm because of the music. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she grabbed Mr. Redmond’s beard to get him off her mother’s arm and off the steering wheel because they were driving and did not want to crash. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that her father, Mr. Redmond, grabbed her arm and twisted it aggressively. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she could not even move her arm due to so much pain. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Mr. Redmond said to her, “That’s what you get for pulling my beard, you b*tch.”
I spoke to a witness, [WITNESS #2], the grandmother. [WITNESS #2] stated that she saw Mr. Redmond become aggressive toward [WITNESS #1] over the music and the Air Conditioning. [WITNESS #2] stated that Mr. Redmond grabbed hold of [WITNESS #1]’s arm and the steering wheel and began squeezing [WITNESS #1]’s arm, causing her pain. [WITNESS #2] stated that her granddaughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], grabbed Mr. Redmond’s beard and pulled it to get Mr. Redmond to stop. [WITNESS #2] stated that he reached around the seat to grab [REDACTED]’s arm and twist it. [WITNESS #2] stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] began screaming in pain.
After speaking with the individuals, I contacted Mr. Redmond. Mr. Redmond was in the passenger seat. I detained him due to the severity of the call and put him in the patrol car. I read him his Miranda Rights and asked if he would like to speak to me. He stated no. Upon initial contact with Mr. Redmond, I could smell the odor of alcohol on his breath. Due to probable cause, I arrested him on the charge of Aggravated Battery, Family Violence.
I gave [WITNESS #1] a case card and case number regarding this incident. I transported Mr. Redmond to the Bibb County LEC for booking into the Bibb County Jail. A warrant will be filed for Mr. Troy Daniel Redmond.
