Over the weekend of 1-11-25, I was contacted by the complainant. She reported that she recently discovered a cellphone video that recorded her daughter being assaulted by another girl in the yard of the incident location, some time in late November 2024.
I did view the video and recognized the offender as being [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. The cellphone video was obviously recorded by someone else, and it appeared to be a female by the lower legs visible at the end of the video.
I happened to see Debra Strean at the store on 1-12-25, and I talked to her about the video, showing it to her. She told me that she was already aware of the video, that she had seen a condensed version of it. Debra denied that it was her that recorded it, that she was not there at the time. Debra claimed that it was a 15 year old girl named [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who recorded the event.
In the video, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] can be seen shoving the victim down, after the victim told her that she didn’t want to fight.
I am supposed to meet with Debra later in the week to see some text messages that Debra claimed to have that showed the victim had been antagonizing [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Debra also said that I could talk to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at that time.
I have to communicate back with the complainant to get the victim’s full information, which will be added.
The residence where this happened it the home of [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #1] was possibly incarcerated at the time of this event.
The victim was walking from her home on [WITNESS #1]’s landing to her grandma’s place on Seventh Ave., When she passed by the incident location. Supposedly, [REDACTED] called to the victim in a friendly way to lure her up in the yard.
