On the giving date and time, I was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Reade St., Nahunta Brantley County GA. in reference to filing a report.
Once I arrived Nahunta PD Officer 608 was there getting information from the complainant and victim, [VICTIM #1]. He stated, it occurred outside the city so he was going to turn the call over to the Sheriffs Office. He did state, [VICTIM #1] had red marks on her neck from where she stated her dad had choked her.
[VICTIM #1] Stated, they dropped her dads belongings off at his place at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] HWY 301 South, Nahunta Brantley County. She stated, they dropped off his belongings and her dad started yelling at her and her husband [WITNESS #1]. She stated, her dad (Rodney Johns) was upset because she thought they had sawed off his pool table legs but they did not, they just unscrewed the legs to get it on and off of the trailer. She stated, Rodney did not let them leave his property and held the gate closed. She stated, he then ran up to her and choked her. [VICTIM #1] did video what happened.
[WITNESS #1] stated, [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] helped them unload the belongings and were witnesses. I then went to Mr. Johns property to try and get ahold of him. He was not there but his mother, [WITNESS #2] arrived shortley after. I asked her what had happened. She stated, [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] had brought some of Rodneys stuff back and Rodney and [VICTIM #1] were argueing and that is when Rodney put one of his hands on [VICTIM #1] throat and pushed [VICTIM #1] back away from him.
[WITNESS #2] stated, they left and that [WITNESS #1] and another boy had came back and [WITNESS #1] had dropped off a wench at the gate and was yelling at Rodney and she told [WITNESS #1] to leave. [WITNESS #2] stated, the boy that was in the passenger seat had a small black pistol in between his legs inside the truck waiting for [WITNESS #1] and she told both they needed to leave and they left.
I then went back to [VICTIM #1] to criminally trespass them from [REDACTED BY AGENCY] HWY 301 South. She then showed me the video of the incident. In the video it shows Rodney standing in front of his gate blocking it to where [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] could not get out. [WITNESS #1] told him to move and He told [WITNESS #1] no. Shortley after [VICTIM #1] arrives. [VICTIM #1] was trying to calm everyone down but Rodney was still acting out.
[WITNESS #1] starts to get in the driver seat of the truck and [VICTIM #1] opens the passenger side door and you can hear Rodney say, I will beat your god damn a*s bit*h you hear me. At that time, [VICTIM #1] stated, he had reached threw the door window and choked her. [WITNESS #1] was saw running around the vehicle yelling at Rodney calling him a sorry mother fu*ker. Rodney then picked up some type of metal wrench or pipe out of the back of the truck and then threw it down in the truck when his mother said she was calling the cops. [WITNESS #1] and [VICTIM #1] then left.
I did receive a call from Rodney. Rodney stated, [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] brought his pool table and sawed off the legs and threw it in his yard. He then stated, [VICTIM #1] was hollering cussing at him and he had his hands on her throat and told her he would choke her out and told her she was lucky she still had front teeth. He stated, that his belonging was at her place for the past six months. He stated, he did not want them back at his house and that he would like a deputy to go to [VICTIM #1] so he could get the rest of his belonging the next day. I told him to call before because he was criminally trespassed from [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Reade St. Nahunta GA.
I did see red marks on [VICTIM #1] neck. From what I saw on the video and testimonies I was told I am taking warrants on Rodney Johns for Terroristic Threats and Acts, Aggravated Assault FV, and False Imprisonment.
