On October 3, 2023 at 1920 Hours, Sgt. Cameron Hampton was notified by Lt. Brandon Reeves in reference to an Aggravated Assault.
Lt. Reeves advised Sgt. Hampton the incident occurred at [1000 BLOCK] Old Millen Highway, Waynesboro, GA 30830. Sgt. Hampton advised Lt. Reeves that Investigators would be en route.
Sgt. Hampton arrived at [1000 BLOCK] Old Millen Highway and met with the victim, [VICTIM #1], who advised Sgt. Hampton the suspect, Janene Perkins, rammed her car.
[VICTIM #1] stated Perkins used her (Perkins’) vehicle to ram her ([VICTIM #1]’s) vehicle and her ([VICTIM #1]’s) two children were still inside.
EMA was called to the scene and both of [VICTIM #1]’s children [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were evaluated.
Sgt. Hampton later interviewed Perkins at CID who confessed to using her vehicle to ram [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle. Perkins was later transported to the Burke County Detention Center for Aggravated Assault.
