On July 14th 2026 at approximately 0544 hours I Deputy McDonald a patrol deputy with the Butts County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Ledford Pt, Flovilla, GA 30216 in reference to a person shot call.
While in route Dispatch advised me that the female who had been shot was driving herself to Fire Station 8 located at 1372 Hwy 42 S, Flovilla, GA 30216, At approximately 0545 hours I arrived on scene at station 8 and located the white Chevrolet Malibu (GA tag of [REDACTED]) parked in the side parking lot of the fire station. I made contact with the driver later identified as Ms. [VICTIM #1] who was crying and holding her left side.
I then asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] to show me where she was shot, Ms. [VICTIM #1] raised her shirt under her left breast. I then checked Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s side and found no entry or exit wound from a bullet but did notice a small cut, swelling, and redness to the area. Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s injury’s appeared to start from just above her left hip and continue to just below her left breast. I then asked MS. [VICTIM #1] to step out of her car and to have a seat on the curb where I could fully examine her wounded area.
Once Ms. [VICTIM #1] was sitting on the curb I checked her back where no wound was located from exit of a bullet. During this time other Deputy’s responded to [100 BLOCK] Ledford Pt, in search of the suspect and any evidence that could be located. EMS then arrived on scene and escorted Ms. [VICTIM #1] into station 8 where she was medically checked.
When asked what happened Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she exit her house to start her car so that she could take her daughter to work. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that once she stepped off of her front stairs she heard a loud pop and felt a burning sensation down her left side believing she had been shot. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she then got into her vehicle and drove to station 8 to received medical treatment while she called 911. When asked who may have done this Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she believed it to be the father of her child Mr. BERRY.
CID was notified of the incident and Investigator Hobbs responded to station 8 and conducted a interview of Ms. [VICTIM #1]. The investigation was then handed over to the Criminal Investigation Division. Pictures of Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s injury’s were uploaded to LensLock.
