On September 28,2026 at approximately 0050 hours, I, Deputy Davis was dispatched to Highway 36 west and the I-75 Bridge located in Jackson, Butts County, Georgia in reference to a Lamar County Sheriff deputy needing assistance.
I arrived on scene and spoke with Deputy T. Mason (Badge number 1117), Deputy Mason advised that he was on Highway 36 West and he noticed the black in color SUV traveling in the wrong lane. He advised that he made the traffic stop and discovered the driver was under the influence. Deputy Mason explained that he did the processes for discovering impairment of the driver but due to him locating the driver inside Butts county he requested me to come on scene.
Deputy Mason advised that he just needed me to transport the driver to our jail and that he will cite him on the charges. I read the implied consent to the driver which he had refused blood and breath chemical testing. Deputy Mason advised that he was citing the driver with open container, DUI less safe and driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
I placed the driver in handcuffs behind his back, double locked and checked for fit and placed him in the rear passenger of my patrol vehicle. The vehicle that he was driving was a 2019 Volkswagon Atlas with the Georgia tag of [REDACTED]. The passenger inside of the vehicle appeared to be intoxicated as well and was not able to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded by Corner lot towing, the impound number is 07455. The driver was transported to Butts County Jail. The driver was later identified as Hamidullah Rashidi with the date of birth of [REDACTED]. He possessed a class A drivers license out of California with the license number of [REDACTED].
