On 04/19/2026, at approximately 0006 hours, I was dispatched to 104 S Cottage Hill Rd (Comfort Inn) in reference to a domestic dispute that was going on in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, I spoke to one of the offenders (Joshua Grimes). Joshua stated that he and his friend, Antonio Holmes, had been drinking. Joshua stated that Antonio said he was going to kill his baby, so he punched him in the face and knocked him unconscious. Joshua stated multiple times that he punched Antonio in the face.

The complainant [WITNESS #1] told another officer that she had gone outside to smoke her vape. When she noticed the two males (Joshua and Antonio) arguing, Joshua struck Antonio in the face, knocking him unconscious. [WITNESS #1] also said that Joshua got on top of Antonio and was taping his face to wake him up.

When I was trying to talk to Antonio, he kept trying to walk away from me, so he was placed in handcuffs and kept saying nothing had happened. I placed Antonio in the back of my marked patrol car. Joshua and Antonio were both placed under arrest.

I transported Antonio to the Carroll County Jail and Ofc. Carnes transported Joshua. After Joshua was in the jail, he became combative and started kicking and screaming inside the cell.

Joshua and Antonio were both charged with dis. conduct (affray) C66-7(A)(2).
