At approximately 0056 hours, on May 17, 2026, I was observing the bar before closing. A male had just crossed Bradley Street with a female and was attacked by another male. I drove over to the scene as I watched the provoker grab the other male’s shirt and shove the victim to the ground. During the shove, a group of people was pushed, and one other male jumped into the fight.
I found Brandon Keshun Williams on top of [VICTIM #1]’s back in a chokehold-like move. The male who had also jumped in after being shoved had immediately stepped off. Neither party had serious or bleeding injuries, and only torn shirts. [VICTIM #1] complained of neck pain and had some redness.
Brandon was placed into custody and tried to resist by physically pulling his hands from my grasp, and was forced against a nearby car. He was searched and put in my marked patrol car. Brandon would deny fighting several times, even though I physically pulled him off of choking [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] cooperated and stood in front of my patrol car until interviewed. [VICTIM #1] stated he was there with friends and was going to get others to go home when he encountered Brandon, whom he knew, and they had prior issues stemming from dating the same woman.
I reviewed the video and observed [VICTIM #1] crossing Bradley Street with a female. As they neared Brandon, he was quickly attacked and shoved to the ground before I intervened.
[VICTIM #1] and his friend were identified and released. [VICTIM #1] was unsure about the prosecution.
Brandon Keshun Williams was transported to the Carroll County Jail and charged C66-7(A)(4): Disorderly Conduct: Provoke/Engage/Fight.
