On 05/15/2026, at approximately 1640 hours, I (Officer Taylor) was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Bledsoe Street Apt [REDACTED] in reference to a possible suicidal call.
Upon arrival, I noticed numerous people standing in front of the residence. I asked them if they had called the police, and they told me they had not and did not know what was going on. After further inquiry about the residents of [REDACTED], they admitted they lived there. They eventually admitted they knew why the police were called and stated that Elijah Eden (Suspect) was acting erratically and left the scene. They showed me a picture of Elijah and told me what he was wearing—a black sleeveless shirt and black pants —and left in an unknown direction.
I relayed that information to the other officers responding to the scene.
I then asked some of the residents of [REDACTED] what occurred leading up to my arrival. [VICTIM #1] (Victim) stated that she arrived at the house and went to Elijah Eden’s and [VICTIM #2] (Victim – Elijah’s Ex) room. She stated that she entered the room and no one was in there, so she went to exit the room, but when she turned around, Elijah was standing in her way, holding a gun. She stated that he cocked the gun and pointed it at her. She stated that he was aiming the gun at her torso and head, and stated the following.
- “Don’t fu*king touch me.”
- “I’ll kill you.”
- “I’ll kill myself.”
- “She cheated on me.”
She stated that Elijah then started to cry and allowed her to exit the room. She stated that [WITNESS #1] (Witness) then entered the apartment from the rear door and confronted Elijah. She stated that he convinced Elijah to hand over the gun. She stated that [WITNESS #1] then handed the gun to [WITNESS #2] (Witness). She stated that [WITNESS #2] then went and hid the gun. She stated that [WITNESS #1] then convinced Elijah to walk outside, and when he did, she locked the door behind him. She stated that she called Elijah’s mother during the altercation and asked her to come over and try to calm him down.
[VICTIM #1] stated that Elijah did not have his phone on him, so no one had a way to contact him to find his location.
I then spoke with [VICTIM #2]. She stated that she and Elijah had been arguing for the past few days about normal relationship stuff, and today, Elijah found out that she was starting to see someone else. She stated that Elijah went into [REDACTED]’ (Resident – [WITNESS #2]’s husband and Elijah’s brother) room and grabbed his pistol. She stated that he told her the following.
- “If you leave me, I’ll kill you and myself.”
She stated that he cocked the gun and showed her that the gun was loaded by showing her the rounds inside. She stated that she was able to get out of the apartment and call her mother. She stated that Elijah followed her outside. She stated that they walked around the front of the apartment for a while, and eventually, Elijah walked back inside, while she stayed outside. She stated that their altercation occurred when [VICTIM #1] arrived and went inside.
I then spoke with [WITNESS #2]. She stated that she was in her car during the altercation. She stated that [VICTIM #2] came up to her car and told her that Elijah had [REDACTED]’s gun and was acting irrationally. She stated that when she got inside, [WITNESS #1] was able to get the gun from Elijah, and he handed it to her. She stated that she then relocated it to her bedroom closet and hid it inside. She stated that she then walked back into the living room, where [WITNESS #1] escorted Elijah out of the apartment, and she stayed inside with [VICTIM #1]. She stated that she never saw Elijah threaten anyone, but she did hear him say, “I’ll kill myself.”
Both [VICTIM #2] and [VICTIM #1] stated that they feared for their lives during their interactions with Elijah and believed that he was going to kill them and himself. They both wished to prosecute.
CID arrived on the scene and took over the investigation.
