On September 04, 2026, I responded to a domestic call at [200 BLOCK] Webster Lake Drive at approximately 11:36am.
Upon arrival, ofc. Buice and Cpl. Clark were on scene. Jerry Roddenberry had just been taken into custody and was in the back seat of ofc. Buice’s patrol car. I met [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] on the front porch. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated her son [VICTIM #2] called her at work to tell her “dad is drinking”. She stated she was going to come homе at lunch for the weekend, but once [VICTIM #2] told her he was drinking she came home early.
She stated her and Mr. Roddenberry had been divorced since 2021 but she had been allowing him to stay in the home as long as he did not drink alcohol. She stated she was seated on the couch and Mr. Roddenberry came up behind her and started choking her telling her that he would choke her out and [VICTIM #2] next. She stated he told her he would kill them both. She stated he told her he was not leaving, and she was not going to make him leave.
[VICTIM #2] stated he was in his room and heard things turn physical. He stated he came out of his room and grabbed his dad to get him off his mother. Mr. Roddenberry then grabbed a green Ryobi fan and attempted to strike [VICTIM #2] with it, but missed. Mr. Roddenberry then left out through the front door. He met law enforcement in the front yard (see Cpl Clark’s supplemental).
Ms. [VICTIM #1] had red marks around her neck. I took photographs of the marks and added them to the Axon evidence database. I requested ems to come check on her.
I took state warrants on Jerry Roddenberry for aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and obstructing law enforcement. Warrant no.
