On 07/18/2025 at 1209 hours, I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Magnolia Street in reference to a very heated dispute between [VICTIM #1] and about four to five black males wearing all black, coming from outside of [REDACTED]’s house. Shortly after receiving the call, Dispatch advised that multiple gunshots had been heard in the area and there was now a gunshot victim [VICTIM #1]. Dispatch informed Officers that [VICTIM #1] was shot once in the chest, and the group of suspects fled on foot towards the Greenbelt and Kingsbridge Road.

Prior to my arrival, I activated my emergency lights and siren and briefly stopped to load my patrol rifle on Martin Luther King Jr Street. Soon after, I arrived on the scene with Ofc. Singley and Detective Jones. I grabbed my duty-issued medical bag and quickly made my way to the side of the house at [100 BLOCK] Magnolia Street. I observed multiple people standing around the driveway and three to four people standing over [VICTIM #1], who was lying on his back in the flower bed. [VICTIM #1] appeared unconscious, not breathing, and was bleeding profusely from the top left of his chest. By the time I gathered my medical bag, EMS arrived on the scene and took over rendering aid to [VICTIM #1].

After EMS transported [VICTIM #1] to Tanner Medical Center, I spoke to [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] informed me that he observed a white Chrysler sedan parked on the side of Kingsbridge Road and the Greenbelt. I relayed the possible suspect vehicle description to Officers in the area. While speaking to [WITNESS #1], I observed multiple rifle shell casings scattered throughout the front yard. Detectives transported [WITNESS #1] to the Carrollton Police Department for an interview about the incident. It should be noted that at the time of this report, I had not gathered [WITNESS #1]’s identifying information before he was transported.

As other Officers gathered witness testimony and information, I helped tape off the surrounding area with crime scene tape and began a crime scene log of the initial crime scene, the front yard. A secondary crime scene was established on the road in front of [100 BLOCK] Magnolia Street, all the way to the Greenbelt by Kingsbridge Road. Ofc. Singley briefly took over the crime scene log and ultimately relinquished it back to me.

Myself, along with four other Officers, entered the residence to clear it for any potential suspects or other victims.

As more information about the incident got out, I realized that this shooting was directly linked to a previous call of terroristic threats I responded to earlier on 07/18 (Case #25072131). Later, while I was watching the perimeter of the crime scene, [WITNESS #2] arrived. [WITNESS #2] stated that someone video called him on Instagram at 1201 hours. The video call showed four black males wearing all black and black ski masks. [WITNESS #2] informed me that he identified the four suspects as Joshawiah Davis, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], Kimauri Farmer, and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] later identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY]

From my initial investigation of Case #25072131, I gathered that [WITNESS #1] and a male named “Duke”” stole a small ar-style rifle from [REDACTED BY AGENCY] sometime on 07/17 from his home in Bowdon. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was looking for retaliation in regards to [WITNESS #1] and “Duke”” stealing his gun. The stolen ar-style rifle was later located inside [100 BLOCK] Magnolia Street by the Crime Scene Unit.

Later, as family members and friends of [VICTIM #1] started gathering at the scene, [WITNESS #3] informed me that a man doing yard work adjacent to [100 BLOCK] Magnolia Street witnessed the shooting. I attempted to speak to the mate, but he immediately shut me down and was uncooperative. [WITNESS #3] said the male told him that he observed four to five black males wearing all black walk down Magnolia Street from Kingsbridge Road. The males met [VICTIM #1] outside and began a loud verbal argument. The male heard [VICTIM #1] say, “Hold on, I’ll be right back.” [VICTIM #1] went back inside and returned with a rifle in his hand. [VICTIM #1] shot at the group once, and then the group of gunmen “lit him up.” This male refused to identify himself.
