On April 2, 2026, at approximately 1415 hours, I responded to 1355 South Park Street in reference to a road rage incident that took place on the Westbound bypass exit ramp at South Park Street.
Upon my arrival, I spoke to the complainant, [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] advised that he and his wife were traveling westbound on the bypass when they were behind a white Hyundai Elantra (GA Tag# [REDACTED]). When they passed the white Hyundai Elantra on the bypass, they advised it sped up to catch up and began tailgating [VICTIM #1]’s Dodge Pickup truck (GA Tag# [REDACTED]). [VICTIM #1] advised that when he stopped at the red light to turn onto South Park Street from the bypass, the female driver, later identified as Maria Collins, asked him if he had a problem. [VICTIM #1] told her that he did not, and they had a verbal altercation. At that point, Maria took her can of pepper spray and sprayed his vehicle while his window was rolled down. [VICTIM #1] stated that at that point, he called the police and pulled into the Kroger parking lot. While speaking with [VICTIM #1], I observed a large amount of red residue splattered on the Ram’s back door and handle. I asked [VICTIM #1] whether he wished to prosecute, and he advised that he did.
After speaking with [VICTIM #1], I contacted the other party involved, Maria Collins. She was sitting in the driver’s seat of the White Elantra displaying the tag [REDACTED]. When asked about the incident by officers, Maria denied that anything had happened. While looking inside Maria’s vehicle, I observed a can of pepper spray. When asked about the can of pepper spray, Maria continuously denied that anything had happened, except that she admitted an argument had happened between her and the driver of a Gray Dodge Ram after further questioning. I then asked Maria to step out of the vehicle. I then placed Maria into double-lock handcuffs that were checked for proper fit and advised her that she was under arrest for disorderly conduct.
After Maria was read her Miranda warning and advised that she understood her Miranda rights, I asked her whether she wished to speak with me. Maria advised that she did. I asked Maria what happened, and she advised that she and the driver got into an argument, and after [VICTIM #1] called her a “b*tch” and “motherfu*ker” she sprayed his vehicle with pepper spray.

Maria was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct (C66-7(A)(1)) because she acted in a violent and tumultuous manner by spraying the vehicle with pepper spray while [VICTIM #1] was inside of it with the window rolled down.
