On the 19th of March 2025 at 12:41hrs I Deputy B. Ivey responded to [400 BLOCK] Lee Williams Rd, Carrollton Ga 30117 in reference to an unknown problem.
While en-route dispatch advised that a female was located lying in the woods near the above address bleeding from her head.
Upon my arrival to the scene I rushed to the wood-line of the property and made contact with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] advised that a male by the name of Michael Chaney head-butted her in the face and stole her truck. [VICTIM #1] was also able to give an address for Chaney ([2200 BLOCK] Pleasant Ridge Church Rd).
[VICTIM #1] further explained that she had allowed Chaney to drive her in her boy-friend’s ([REDACTED]) truck (2012 Red 2-door Chevrolet pick-up) to sell a metal barrel, and after the sell Chaney refused to get out of the driver seat despite [VICTIM #1] telling him to due to his erratic driving. [VICTIM #1] then advised that Chaney then took the truck off-road (onto a powerline easement), and she stated to Chaney she was going to call 911. Chaney then head-butted [VICTIM #1] which caused her nose to pour blood while also stating “I’m going to kill you”. After driving the truck through some small sapling the truck became stuck and [VICTIM #1] was able to get out of the passenger side. Chaney then chased [VICTIM #1] through the woods but would shortly stop and return to the truck where he would drive away.
[VICTIM #1] was transported to Tanner Carrollton via West Ga Ambulance.
While I collected information and pictures Sgt C. Cornell #949 was able to locate the truck in the backyard of the address given by [VICTIM #1]. I then re-located to the address to assist with making contact. While approaching the residence I observed blood in the passenger seat of the Chevrolet truck. An open door on the back of the residence was then observed. A safety sweep was then conducted of the residence, located at [2200 BLOCK] Pleasant Ridge Church Rd, in which no other victims were located. TCR then responded and towed the 2012 Chevrolet to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office impound Lot#10 for evidence.
