At approximately 20:35hrs on 26JUN2026, I was dispatched to the Rogue Water Taphouse at 38 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in reference to an assault in progress. Upon arriving on scene, the complainant, Mr. [REDACTED] (a manager of the bar), was outside and the suspect, Ms. Amy McClintic, was walking away on the sidewalk. Mr. [REDACTED] told me that Ms. McClintic had slapped him in the face a few times.

I conducted a subject stop on Ms. McClintic a short distance down the sidewalk. Ms. McClintic told me she is a regular customer of Rogue Water Taphouse and that Mr. [REDACTED] kicked her out of the bar tonight due to a personal matter. Specifically, Ms. McClintic reported she was sexually assaulted by Mr. [REDACTED] about 6-7 months ago. Ms. McClintic told me that at that time, Mr. [REDACTED] had convinced her to go back to his house with him and they engaged in sexual intercourse. Ms. McClintic said she told Mr. [REDACTED] multiple times not to finish inside of her, but that he did so anyway. Ms. McClintic reported this led to Mr. [REDACTED] yelling at her and telling her to get out of the bar tonight. Ms. McClintic denied that any physical altercation occurred between them tonight except for Mr. [REDACTED] pushing her out of the bar.

As I spoke with Ms. McClintic, I observed that she was slurring her words and speaking in a disjointed pattern of speech.

Mr. [REDACTED] denied having had any relationship with Ms. McClintic outside of her being a regular customer at the bar. Mr. [REDACTED] said Ms. McClintic was highly intoxicated and became belligerent with another person inside the bar, leading him to step between them. Mr. [REDACTED] reported Ms. McClintic then began accusing him of having done something to her. Mr. [REDACTED] said he then began leading Ms. McClintic out of the bar, that she tripped, and that she then turned around and began slapping him in the face. Mr. [REDACTED] requested Ms. McClintic be banned from the bar.

I was unable to appreciate any indications of injury to Mr. [REDACTED].

I completed a ban form and read its instructions to Ms. McClintic who demonstrated understanding and signed the form. I also provided Ms. McClintic with a case report number card and provided her with instructions to follow up with SPD regarding the sex crime she reported being the victim of. I then released Ms. McClintic and departed from the scene.

At approximately 21:46hrs, I was again dispatched to the Rogue Water Taphouse at 38 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. The complainant, “[REDACTED],” was reporting that Ms. McClintic returned to the scene and assaulted her employee. Upon arriving on scene, I found Ms. McClintic standing on the sidewalk directly in front of Rogue Water Taphouse with scattered superficial abrasions on her face, arms, and knees. At this time, I placed Ms. McClintic in handcuffs and in the back of my patrol car, detaining her for further investigation.

Mr. [REDACTED], who was still on scene, directed me toward a female who was also outside the bar. This female was identified as Ms. [VICTIM #1].

Ms. [VICTIM #1] reported she works for the company that Rogue Water Taphouse is a part of, though she is not an employee of Rogue Water Taphouse itself. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she was inside the bar when she became aware of the staff having an issue with Ms. McClintic, who was leaning on the outdoor windowsill of the business. Ms. [VICTIM #1] reported she went outside, confronted Ms. McClintic about her trespassing on the property, and attempted to physically escort her away from the windowsill when Ms. McClintic swung at her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she pushed Ms. McClintic away from her and that she fell to the ground, which Ms. [VICTIM #1] primarily attributed to Ms. McClintic’s intoxication by alcohol. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said Ms. McClintic then attacked her and they became engaged in a physical altercation. Ms. [VICTIM #1] reported that during this fight, Ms. McClintic struck her above her left eye using her palm, which resulted in swelling to this location. Ms. [VICTIM #1] also showed me abrasions on both of her knees and left arm from the fight. Ms. [VICTIM #1] declined medical attention.

Mr. [REDACTED] corroborated Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s statements.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] was provided with a case report number card. Ms. McClintic was placed under arrest for battery, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. I transported Ms. McClintic to the Memorial Medical Center emergency department, where she was cleared for transport to jail, and then transported her to the Chatham County Detention Center (CCDC). At CCDC, I transferred custody of Ms. McClintic without incident.
