[NARRATIVE #1 on August 01, 2026]
On 08/01/2026 at approximately 0238 hours, I, Officer Brister, responded to [1900 BLOCK] Tubman St. in reference to a male subject who had trespassed on the property.
Upon arrival, I observed a Black male lying on his back in the roadway. As I approached, I observed a clear cellophane bag containing a green leafy material (GLM), apparent to be marijuana, in his right hand along with a five-dollar bill. I secured the suspected marijuana while officers attempted to get the male to respond. The male identified himself as Hakeem Wilson. His identity was confirmed through police databases. I instructed Wilson to stand in front of my marked patrol vehicle so I could conduct a search of his person. Wilson complied with my instructions. I asked Wilson if he had anything else on his person, but he did not respond.
Search of Person
During a search of Wilson’s person, I recovered a clear cellophane bag containing one blue/purple diamond-shaped pill from the small watch pocket above the main right front pants pocket. Based on the discovery of the suspected controlled substance, Wilson was placed in properly sized, double-locked handcuffs. I continued my search incident to arrest and then secured Wilson in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle.
Evidence
The blue/purple diamond-shaped pill field tested positive for MDMA (Ecstasy).
The green leafy material weighed approximately 3.14 grams and field tested positive for marijuana.
Photographs of both field test results were uploaded to this CRN as evidence.
Officer Schaff transported the recovered evidence to the Savannah Police Department Property Room. The blue/purple pill was submitted to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Laboratory for further analysis and identification.
Wilson was transported to the Chatham County Detention Center (CCDC) and charged with the following offenses:
Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce

Upon arrival at CCDC, Deputy Johnson began conducting a standard intake search of Wilson before allowing him access into the jail. Wilson refused repeated commands to turn around and face the wall. Deputy Johnson and I attempted to physically guide Wilson into position. Once Wilson was facing the wall, Wilson attempted to grab Deputy Johnson while Deputy Johnson was applying pressure with his right shoulder to Wilson’s back in order to search Wilson’s left pants leg. During this time, I maintained control of Wilson’s right arm while he remained handcuffed behind his back.
Because Wilson attempted to grab Deputy Johnson, Deputy Johnson performed a controlled leg sweep, taking Wilson to the ground. Wilson landed on his right side. I maintained control of Wilson’s arms by holding them vertically while placing my knee on his left hip to prevent further resistance. Throughout the incident, Deputy Johnson and I gave Wilson repeated verbal commands to comply and stop resisting.
Wilson was ultimately secured without further incident and was additionally charged with two counts of Obstruction.
