On Aug. 11, 2026, I, Ofc. Brenner, as a uniformed law enforcement officer for Savannah Police Department responded to 1127 E Montgomery Cross Rds in reference to a Burglary that was in progress.

While at 8489 Waters Ave. (Largo Beverage) for a call for service regarding a front window being broken out and liquor bottles on the ground, another call for service was aired that a Burglary in progress at the bike shop next to Jerry’s which is a bar next to Quality Bike.

When myself and Lt. Lockett arrived at the location 1127 E Montgomery Cross Rds (Quality Bike) a white male ([VICTIM #1]) was in the parking lot with his hands up. He stated that a firearm was on the ground next to his feet. He also advised that he was the business owner. The business’s building window that was to the far eat of the building was broken out and had a white motorized bicycle half way out of the building. Inside the building was a white male who identified himself as Henry Dover.

As Lt. Lockett stayed with Mr. Dover. I walked with Mr. [VICTIM #1] to the rear of the business to gain access. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that his alarm system activated and he came to the business to find out why the alarm had activated. Mr. [VICTIM #1] found Mr. Dover inside his business without permission. He held Mr. Dover at gun point and had the patrons from Jerry’s bar call police.

When I gained access to the interior of the building to detain Mr. Dover. He advised that he did break into the building along with the business Largo Beverage located at 8489 Waters Ave. which is in close proximity to Quality Bikes.

Both business have security footage and have been sent links to upload the footage to evidence.com.

Property Crimes Det. Odell Thomas responded. Sgt. Harrell and Baker responded. Lt. Allgaier responded.

Mr. Dover was arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary (16-7-1 OCGA). He was placed in handcuffs which were checked for fit and double locked. He was transported to Southside Precinct to speak with Det. Thomas. Once the interview concluded he was transported to Chatham County Detention Center without incident.
