On 04/28/2026 at approximately 2236 hours, I was dispatched to the above location for a physical domestic involving a male and female subject. While en route to the location, it was advised by E-911 that the male subject possessed a knife in his pocket at the time of the physical altercation.

Once on the scene, I immediately advised the male subject to place his hands on the hood of my patrol car. I also advised the female subject to separate from the male until I could get him checked for weapons, and that I would come to speak with her afterwards. During the check for weapons on the male subject, the female subject, who was identified as [VICTIM #1], was quickly advised, due to her irate behavior, that if she didn’t calm down until I was able to come and speak with her, she would be subject to arrest.

As I continued the search on the male subject, who was identified as BOBBY DURHAM, for any potential weapons, as previously advised by E-911, it was noted that the entire time DURHAM had remained the calm one throughout the process, but it was observed that he was intoxicated due to the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person, along with slurred speech. Ultimately, the search of his person concluded with negative results for any weapons.

Before going to speak with [VICTIM #1] about what occurred, I searched the area where the male subject was observed upon my arrival in case he had stowed the knife in that area. The search came back negative for any weapons. Once I was done searching the area, I made my way to speak with [VICTIM #1].

[VICTIM #1]’s retelling of what occurred was that the two had gotten into an argument about her no longer being invited to go fishing in the morning on the following day (04/29/2026), stating that it upset her that she was no longer going fishing, and that during the argument, DURHAM had struck her in the face. It was at this point that I did observe a red mark on the top of her right cheek below the eye, indicating to me that the argument had become physical. I then took photos of the mark and made my way to speak with DURHAM.

While speaking with DURHAM about what had happened, he stated to me that they had not been arguing and that she had bought him the alcohol from a store nearby. I then asked him if there was ever a conversation between the two about fishing. He told me they had talked about it, but they did not argue about it. I asked him if, at one point, he had a knife, to which he replied no.

It is to be noted that the knife was described as being a silver blade with a green and black handle by [VICTIM #1] when I was speaking with her about the incident. It is also to be noted that I had gotten consent from [VICTIM #1] about searching for the knife inside the tent that she was staying in on the property. She consented to this request. The search occurred before the conversation with DURHAM and resulted negatively in locating a knife.

While continuing my conversation with DURHAM, I did request to look at his hands. While looking at his hands, it was observed that the knuckles on his left hand were red, and the knuckles on his right hand were red as well, but a darker color than those on his left. When asked about why his knuckles were exhibiting a shade of red, he replied that they were that way due to work. It was at this time that I had advised him of everything that had been observed and everything that had been shown to me, that there had been a physical altercation. He was advised that he was being arrested for Disorderly Conduct due to the incident.

Once he was placed in handcuffs, he was then placed in the back seat on the passenger side of my patrol car. I then made my way to [VICTIM #1] to ask if she wanted him trespassed from the property. She advised that she did not want him to trespass, but was quickly advised that if he is invited over to the property, the trespass would not be in effect for him to be subject to arrest for Criminal Trespass.

It was at this time she understood the advisement and stated to continue with the trespass. DURHAM was advised of his verbal trespass warning and then transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident. All units went back into service.
