On Monday April 14th, 2025 I, Corporal Flood, spoke with [VICTIM #1] on the phone. Miss [VICTIM #1] advised that she was going over her Direct Express Account that her Social Security check is deposited into and found several fraudulent purchases dating back to at least January and maybe even further. Some of the fraudulent purchases were made at Walmart in Calhoun GA and others were for things such as Door Dash and Amazon Prime.
Miss [VICTIM #1] advised that Brian Wimbley’s name was on the statement. She advised that Brian and Emily are family members and used to take her shopping. She advised that she is wheelchair bound and is unable to get out by herself and they were helping out. She advised she had given them the card and password in the past to get cash out of the ATM for gas money. She did not approve them to use the card for these other purchases. Miss [VICTIM #1] is getting all the information together from Direct Express and has since canceled that account and opened a new one. This case will be turned over to investigations for further.
