On May 17th, 2026, at approximately 2114 hours, Deputy Dawson, Summerville Police Officers Pritchard, Mitchell and Lindsey, and I responded to [30 BLOCK] Lake View Circle, Summerville, Georgia 30747 in reference to a physical domestic.
Upon arrival, Deputy Dawson spoke with Gary Gilbert who advised that he and his wife got into an argument after they had been drinking. Mr. Gilbert stated that his wife, Lauren Gilbert, had scratched him multiple times on the back so he pushed her off of him. Mr. Gilbert did have multiple scratch marks on his back.
Deputy Dawson then spoke with Mrs. Gilbert who advised that Mr. Gilbert had pushed her, so she scratched him. She also corroborated Mr. Gilbert’s story that they had been drinking and arguing. Both subjects were intoxicated upon arrival.
I then spoke with [WITNESS #1], who advised that his sister, [REDACTED], called him because their mother, Mrs. Gilbert had been drinking and became angry. Mr. [WITNESS #1] was on his way to the residence to pick up [REDACTED] so they could drive around. [REDACTED] informed Mr. [WITNESS #1] that Mrs. Gilbert and Mr. Gilbert were becoming more aggressive and arguing. [REDACTED] stated that she was unaware of the fight that occurred but was scared to be at the residence with her mom and stepdad.
