On Tuesday the date of 06-23-2026 at the time of 1448 hours I, Cpl. Villagomez SO 05, responded out with Cpl. Durham SO 73 to Gore Subligna Road @ Pleasant Hill Church Road in regards to a white pick up truck that was all over the roadway and that was stopped in the roadway with its hazard lights on.
Upon arrival I met with Cpl. Durham and he advised me that he found the driver, Mr. Ramirez, slumped over asleep in the middle of the roadway in his pick up truck. Cpl. Durham informed me that he found a “Four Loko” alcoholic beverage in the center console nearly empty and handed me his ID card from Guatemala. I had the driver step out of the vehicle and during this I smelled a strong odor of an alcohol beverage emitting from his breath.
During speaking with the driver I noticed his eyes to be bloodshot and glossy along with him having to hold onto the truck for balance. Due to the language barrier due to the driver speaking strict Spanish I did not conduct Field Sobriety Testing due to the driver would have a hard time understanding English to ensure that the testing would be conducted properly. I then photographed the open container of alcohol in the center console which read 13.9 percent alcohol volume.
I then placed the driver into custody and called the on-call translator of E-911 which was Operator [REDACTED] in which she translated Implied Consent notice for suspects age 21 or over in which he agreed by me reading it out loud and she translating it. He was transported to EMS Station 12 for a draw of his blood by [REDACTED]. His blood sugar was checked By Mrs. [REDACTED] to rule out any diabetic problems at the time in which his blood sugar was 96 per [REDACTED] which is normal limit. He was transported to the Chattooga County Jail.
