On May 29, 2026, at approximately 0201 hours, Deputy Jonathan Reynolds and I, Deputy Matt Wilson, were dispatched to [400 BLOCK] Davis Road in reference to a domestic disturbance involving Kenneth Adam Koonce. E911 advised that the complainant reported Kenneth had forced entry into the residence and was refusing to leave.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a female identified as [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that Kenneth had fled the scene prior to our arrival by running through the wooded area behind the residence. She advised that Kenneth had come to the residence and refused to leave. She further stated that he shoved her before entering the residence.
[VICTIM #1] advised that she was previously involved in a relationship with Kenneth and that he formerly resided with her at the residence. She stated that Kenneth no longer had any personal belongings at the residence and had moved out in March 2026. [VICTIM #1] also advised that prior to our arrival, Kenneth had thrown a watermelon at her vehicle.
Deputies checked the surrounding area but were unable to locate Kenneth.
Later that same date, at approximately 0421 hours, E911 advised that they had received a hang-up call that was pinging from [400 BLOCK] Davis Road. Upon arrival, deputies again made contact with [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] stated that Kenneth had returned to the property and was standing near the end of the driveway by the roadway, yelling at her. She advised that she could hear him calling her derogatory names and demanding to know who was inside the residence. [VICTIM #1] stated that she went outside and told Kenneth to leave or she would call 911. She advised that as she began calling 911, Kenneth ran toward her, grabbed the phone from her hand, and shoved her. She stated that the phone was her AT&T home phone.
I observed [VICTIM #1] holding the back cover of the phone in her left hand. I also observed a fresh, small laceration on the top of her left hand near her index finger knuckle. [VICTIM #1] stated that the injury occurred when Kenneth forcibly took the phone from her hand. I asked her for an estimated value of the phone, and she stated she was unsure.
[VICTIM #1] appeared visibly frightened of Kenneth during our interaction. She further advised that she believed Kenneth had also taken her cellular phone, as she was unable to locate it.
Based on [VICTIM #1]’s statement, Kenneth obstructed and hindered her ability to contact 911 for emergency assistance and to report a crime.
[VICTIM #1] also reiterated that during the earlier incident, Kenneth had thrown a watermelon at her vehicle. I inspected the vehicle and observed a watermelon on the ground beside it, with watermelon debris scattered across the vehicle. Photographs were taken of the damage and evidence.
[VICTIM #1] was advised of the Temporary Protective Order (TPO) and Good Behavior Bond procedures. She stated that she wished to pursue charges and wanted Kenneth to leave her alone. I advised her that a report would be completed.
