On June 28, 2026, I, DS Broach, responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a report of disorderly conduct. 911 advised the caller, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], stated there was a male and female arguing outside the apartments.

Upon arrival, DS Loung and I made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she had been hearing someone screaming behind her apartment and that it was keeping her children awake.

DS Loung and I then made contact with a male subject behind the apartments at [30 BLOCK] Lakeside Way. The subject was actively screaming and attempting to climb a light pole in the parking lot. The subject was identified as Alan Thompson. DS Loung attempted to de-escalate the situation and talk Alan down from the light pole; however, Alan continued screaming and cursing at us.

EMS arrived on scene and also attempted to speak with Alan but were unable to get him to cooperate or accept medical treatment. Alan was given multiple verbal commands to get down from the light pole and stop yelling, but he refused and continued his disorderly behavior.

Due to Alan’s continued noncompliance and escalating behavior, DS Loung and I each took hold of one of Alan’s arms and removed him from the light pole. Alan was detained without incident and placed under arrest. He was secured in the rear of my marked patrol vehicle and transported to the Coweta County Jail, where he was turned over to detention staff without incident.

Alan was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
