On 07/22/2026 at approximately 0807 hours, I D/S Lyles was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a Family Dispute.
Upon arrival, I observed a Female waving me down. I exited my patrol vehicle and was approached by the female, who identified herself as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] the caller, and Benjamin Miller [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] quickly stated, “He’s destroying the house.” I then heard a loud yell coming from the rear of the house saying he was going to jump off the roof. Due to this statement, I requested that fire and EMS be en route.
At this point, I made contact with Benjamin Miller, who was on the roof of the residence. After approximately 5 minutes of communication with Benjamin, I was able to persuade him to come inside and speak with me. Deputy Daniel arrived on scene to assist at this time.
While speaking with Benjamin, he stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] threatened to take away his Xbox if he did not follow the rules and take his medicine or shower. Benjamin stated this made him very angry, and he began yelling and throwing things. Benjamin also stated he tried not to break anything.
Deputy Daniel stayed with Benjamin while I returned to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to continue my investigation. While speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY],, I learned that Benjamin was told he needed to shower and to follow the house rules regarding food and drinks in his bedroom. This is when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Benjamin became irate and began grabbing multiple items and throwing them.
I observed multiple Forks and Butter Knifes thrown through the living room and back porch, along with a Glass Bowl shattered on a rug. I took pictures of all the damage and items using Axon Capture. EMS arrived on scene and spoke with Benjamin, who stated he was fine and did not want EMS assistance. EMS and fire then left and returned to service.
AT this time, I determined charges were present under the Family Violence Act. I returned to Benjamin and told him he was under arrest. I placed him in handcuffs behind the back; the handcuffs were inspected for proper fit and double locked. Benjamin was searched incident to arrest and was placed into the rear of my patrol vehicle.
Benjamin was transported to Coweta County Jail, and custody was given to jail staff. A victim notification was completed, and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was also advised of proper procedures for evictions.
