On 06/08/2026, officers responded to 355 Bullsboro Dr, Newnan, GA 30263 (Buffalo Wild Wings) in reference to a suspicious person call. While en route to the location, the caller advised there were two males fighting in the parking lot and advised that the individuals were leaving the area in a white pick-up truck pulling a lawn equipment trailer.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the vehicle and the driver, identified as Daniel Cortez. While conducting the investigation into the alleged fight, officers determined that there were no criminal offenses committed. While speaking with Cortez, officers noticed he was displaying signs of impairment and initiated a DUI investigation.
Upon completion of the investigation, Cortez was placed under arrest for DUI and he was searched incident to arrest which uncovered a THC vape and a small quantity of Marijuana. Cortez was charged for DUI- Combination and Possession of Marijuana Less Than 1 Oz. A report has been completed.
