On 08/08/2022 at approximately 1630 hours, I, Deputy Brooks observed a white Nissan Altima traveling on Collingsworth Rd near Weldon road. I observed a crack in the passenger side windshield that what larger than 12 inches.

I conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on the Exit 56 northbound on-ramp. While stopping the vehicle I observed through the back glass Jonathan reaching around to the back of the vehicle. I approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Jonathan Brignoni, and advised him on why I stopped him and requested his driver’s license. Jonathan provided me with his license and I checked him through NCIC where he returned validly with no warrants.

Immediately upon contact with Jonathan, I detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. I asked Jonathan if there was any marijuana inside the vehicle and he stated no. I then asked if Jonathan smoked marijuana inside the vehicle and he stated yes. I then removed Jonathan from the vehicle and conducted a search of the vehicle.

While searching the vehicle I located a black bag behind the passenger seat around the same area I observed Jonathan reaching. Inside the bag, I located a Zip Lock bag containing 3 separate bags containing a green leafy substance that with my KTE I believed to be marijuana. The estimated weight of the green leafy substance was approximately 24.2 grams. The first bag contained 5.7 grams, the second bag contained 9.3 grams, and the third bag contained 9.3 grams. I also located a digital scale.

Jonathan was then placed under arrest and secured in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle. I then requested Coweta county E911 to have next list (Bucks Towing) en route to retrieve the vehicle. Bucks arrived on the scene and took possession of the vehicle. I then transported Jonathan to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office where he was turned over to jail staff without incident.

All evidence was secured in the Coweta County evidence locker. I also took possession of Jonathan’s cellphone (Iphone with black and gold case.) for evidence.
