On April 24 2022, I DS Anduha and DS Claycomb was dispatched to [700 BLOCK] Genesee Point in reference to a dispute.

Upon my arrival I made contact with a Steven Wilkes DOB: [REDACTED] and [VICTIM #1] DOB: [REDACTED]. Immediately Steven was very uncooperative and began telling DS Claycomb and myself to leave his home.

I informed Steven that his wife called 911 requesting our assistance at the residence. Steven then exited the house and attempted to leave the residence. I instructed him to have a seat on the front porch, to which he complied with my command. I informed him that I would be back to speak with him after I spoke with [VICTIM #1].

I entered the residence and began to speak with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] informed me that Steven had been drinking prior to our arrival this evening and was upset with her due to her not willing to have sex with him. [VICTIM #1] stated that he came out of the bathroom and began arguing with her stating that she did not love him, and began to throw objects at her. [VICTIM #1] stated that Steven threw a pillow at her but could not recall what else was thrown at her.

I asked [VICTIM #1] to show me the bedroom, where it can be seen that there were several small objects on the ground on [VICTIM #1]’s side of the bed. [VICTIM #1] stated that her three children, [REDACTED] DOB: [REDACTED], [REDACTED] DOB: [REDACTED], and [REDACTED] DOB: [REDACTED] ran into the bedroom after hearing all the commotion.

After observing the bedroom, [VICTIM #1] and I went back to the kitchen where we continued our conversation. While speaking with [VICTIM #1] I could hear DS Claycomb giving loud verbal commands to Steven to come back outside. Steven walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. DS Claycomb instructed him to stand up to which Steven ignored.

DS Claycomb and I stood Steven up and instructed him to place his hands behind his back. Steven stated “no” and began to tense his body and not comply with our commands to put his hands behind his back. DS Claycomb and I began fighting to gain control of Steven. I gained control of Steven’s head in the struggle and at that time Steven shoved me backwards into the couch in the living room where Steven ended up on top of me.

DS Claycomb then drive stunned Steven with his Taser. We fell to the ground where DS Claycomb and I began trying to gain control of Stevens’s hands. Steven tucked his hands underneath his body, concealing his wrists. DS Claycomb and I eventually gained control of Steven and got him into custody, and was escorted to DS Claycombs vehicle, where Steven was searched for any weapons or materials he should not be in possession of.

Steven was transferred to the back of my vehicle where DS Claycomb checked the handcuffs for proper fitting and double locked them to ensure they would not tighten down on Stevens’s wrist. I placed Steven into the backseat of my patrol vehicle and transported him and his property to the Coweta County Jail where custody of him and his property were turned over to jail staff.

Audio and video was captured on my BWC.
