On 07/21/2026 at approximately 0137 hours, I, Deputy A. Webb, responded to the incident location in reference to a shooting. While en-route, Coweta County E911 advised responding units that the victim indicated that he was shot by a roommate and that they could hear what sounded like a physical altercation on scene.

Upon my arrival on scene, I was met by a male and female who were emerging from a driveway across the street from the residence in question. These individuals were later identified as [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2]. Due to the severity of the incident, being unaware of who the offender was, and not knowing if the offender was still on scene, I drew my service pistol, aimed it at both individuals, and began giving them commands to show me their hands. Both [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2], willingly listened to my commands where I then holstered my weapon and began conducting a Terry Frisk of the outside of [WITNESS #1]’s clothing for weapons.

During the frisk, [WITNESS #1] was questioned in reference to if he had any weapons on his person as I felt a large hard bulge in his front pant pocket. [WITNESS #1] responded stating that the item in question was a “magazine for his gun”. At this time, I removed a black “belly band holster” containing a handgun magazine from his pocket and immediately began to detain him in handcuffs behind his back.

Around this time, a male, later identified as the victim [REDACTED BY AGENCY] emerged from the front door of the residence in question clutching his left arm with a white cloth and belt wrapped around his arm. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] immediately started down the staircase from the front of the residence shouting to help him and that [WITNESS #1] was not the offender. At this time, I was wrapping up detaining [WITNESS #1] where [REDACTED BY AGENCY] continued to my patrol vehicle and fell to the ground in the ditch in front of the residence.

During this time, [WITNESS #1] made spontaneous utterances in reference to placing his firearms in a bush at the bottom of the driveway I observed him at during my initial arrival on scene. As [REDACTED] began to his feet he was observed to be obviously injured as he groaned, asked me to help him, and was observed to be covered in blood on his arms. During this time, I observed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to also be holding a black handgun in his hand where it was immediately taken from him and placed on the hood of my patrol vehicle.

At this time, I immediately began life saving measures by applying a tourniquet to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] left arm. During this time, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was questioned in reference to who shot him to which he stated that one of his roommates shot him. He was further questioned in reference to who the person was to which he stated that he didn’t really know the male but described him as being approximately five foot three, heavier set, and a black male.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] was questioned in reference to where he went to which he then asked if there was a Land Rover in the driveway and stated that if the vehicle was gone then he may have left in that vehicle. At this time, I was unable to tell if the vehicle in question was in the driveway so it was unknown if the subject was still on scene. This information was immediately given to other units and Coweta County E911.

At this time, [WITNESS #2] was questioned in reference to if there was anyone else in the residence to which she stated that she was not sure but that there was an additional roommate within the residence. Myself and other deputies then approached the front door of the residence with our service weapons drawn and began giving commands into the residence identifying ourselves.

During this time, a female’s voice was heard from within the residence where she was given commands to step into view and show us her hands. A female, later identified as [WITNESS #3], opened a door leading to a bedroom on the right side of the hallway immediately upon entry to the front door of the residence. [WITNESS #3] emerged with her hands in the air where she was called out of the residence.

During this time, deputies observed a large amount of blood in the hallway immediately after entry to the residence that started at the front door and continued all the way down the hallway to what appeared to be the dining room area. Deputies then cleared the residence due to the exigent circumstances of not knowing if there were any other victims within the residence.

While clearing the residence, the trail of blood in question was observed to continue through the dining room, into the kitchen, down an adjacent hallway to the right of the kitchen, and into a bedroom at the end of the hallway on the right. Once the residence was cleared, deputies then left the residence where they returned outside and I began interviewing [WITNESS #3], [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [WITNESS #2]. As [WITNESS #1] was detained in the back seat of my patrol vehicle, I refrained from questioning him as I was going to wait to allow investigators to interview him.

Upon emerging from the residence, I was informed by Lieutenant Crowe (016) that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was receiving emergency care from Coweta County Emergency Medical Services in the back seat of an ambulance. I began to the ambulance where I began interviewing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to the incident at hand.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] informed me that he and another roommate, later identified as TRARON CANNON, had a disagreement about CANNON’s fire alarm constantly chirping as the battery was dying. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he asked CANNON to replace the batteries in the alarm for a few days where he failed to do so. He then informed me that he brough batteries home with him to give to CANNON for him to replace them where the argument began. He stated that after the argument, that he went to bed and went to sleep.

He further informed me that his bedroom was the furthest room to the right at the rear of the residence after going through the kitchen. He then informed me that he was woken up by the sound of gunfire from outside his bedroom window and being shot. He stated that he then jumped up and began yelling for “[WITNESS #1]”, being [WITNESS #1], telling him that they were being shot at and he was shot. He stated that he then left his room and ran to [WITNESS #1]’s room where he met [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] in the hallway in front of their room, which was the first room on the right after entering the residence from the front door.

I then questioned him in reference to he had a photograph of CANNON and or knew his full name to which he stated that he had a photograph which he showed me. The photograph in question was pictured as a facial of a heavier set black male with a black beard and short afro type black hair. I was then informed by Lieutenant Crowe that the investigators were requesting that we take possession of his cell phone for time being. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] cell phone was taken where it was given to another deputy who followed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to Grady Memorial Hospital in the ambulance.

It should be noted that during this time, no Land Rover was observed on the property. Deputies where later able to locate the vehicle in question by utilizing the Flock camera system where it was observed no longer in Coweta County and in Cook County. The vehicle in question was identified as a 2012 Land Rover that was black in color ([REDACTED] GA) and the registered owner was TRARON CANNON.

Contact was made with [WITNESS #2] where she was questioned further in reference to the incident at hand. During the questioning, [WITNESS #2] indicated that she was in her bedroom where she was awakened by gunfire and heard [REDACTED BY AGENCY] screaming that he had been shot. She further indicated that her boyfriend, [WITNESS #1], was not in the room at this time and was in the bathroom adjacent to [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

She stated that immediately after [REDACTED BY AGENCY] got to their door, [WITNESS #1] met them in the hallway where he informed her that they needed to get out of the residence because they were being shot at. I questioned her in reference to if [WITNESS #1] returned into their bedroom at any time where she informed me that she was not sure but that they then immediately ran out of the front door of the residence and fled across the street.

Contact was made with [WITNESS #3] where she was questioned in reference to the incident at hand. [WITNESS #3] informed deputies what she was in her room sleeping when she was woken up by gunfire that she believed to be outside her bedroom window and though it was from down the road but realized it was inside the residence after hearing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] begin screaming that he had been shot. She stated that at this time, she immediately dropped to the floor to avoid being shot. She then stated that she remained there until deputies arrived on scene as she did not want to exit her room to get involved in anything.

I then remained on scene and assisted with a crime scene log with Coweta County Investigators until the scene was turned over to the day shift units and Investigators. Coweta County Investigators took possession of the firearm removed from [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. At approximately 0450 hours, Cook County contacted our dispatch and advised they located the vehicle on I-75, 39mm and had CANNON in custody.

The crime scene log was turned over to investigators.
