On 08/10/2025 I Ptl. Conley responded in normal patrol mode to [1700 BLOCK] Melrose Dr in reference to family violence.

Upon arrival I made contact with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that he and his live-in girlfriend [WITNESS #1] were having an argument. [VICTIM #1] stated that while he and [WITNESS #1] were arguing, [WITNESS #1]’s daughter Allexus Ransom stared defending [WITNESS #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that Ransom began being irate and aggressive toward him by walking up on him. I observed blood on [VICTIM #1]’s forehead as well as on his chin. I asked [VICTIM #1] how did he begin bleeding and he advised that he did not know. I then asked [VICTIM #1] was there a weapon involved and he advised no.

[VICTIM #1] advised that he hit his head on the door and that is how he started bleeding. [VICTIM #1] stated that Ransom left the scene in [WITNESS #1]’s vehicle. I then made contact with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that she and [VICTIM #1] were arguing because she was about to leave the house but [VICTIM #1] did not want her to leave. [WITNESS #1] stated that Ransom then came to her defense and stared arguing with [VICTIM #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that there was a physical altercation between [VICTIM #1] and Ransom but did not advised on exactly what happened. [WITNESS #1] stated that she gave Ransom the keys to her vehicle but did not know where Ransom was going.

I was not able to make contact with Ransom due to her not having an operable phone. Ransom later returned to the scene, but by the time police arrived she fled the scene on foot. [VICTIM #1] stated that when Ransom returned to the scene Ransom was being irate and pushed hit motor scooter down on the ground but it did not sustain any damages. A follow up will be conducted on the next work day 08/13/2025 to attempt to make contact with Ransom. Pictures of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries were taken along with the blood trail in the house, will be submitted into evidence and placed in locker number 2.
