I, Ptl. N. Pickett, responded in normal patrol mode to [1600 BLOCK] Beverly Ave (in the City of Albany, GA limits) in reference to a family violence complaint.

Upon arrival, contact was made with black female, [WITNESS #1], who stated she lived at [1600 BLOCK] Beverly Ave and is the sister of black male, [VICTIM #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated [VICTIM #1] and his children’s mother (black female, [REDACTED]) has a court agreement on custody between the kids. [WITNESS #1] stated it is [VICTIM #1] week to keep the kids however, [REDACTED] pulled up to the residence today unannounced and caused trouble. [WITNESS #1] stated [REDACTED] also had her boyfriend (black male, D’andre Williams) with her. She stated after a verbal altercation between [VICTIM #1] and Williams, Williams punched [VICTIM #1] in the face causing a physical altercation. [WITNESS #1] stated in the midst of the altercation between the two males, her niece (black juvenile female, [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) was punched in the face by Williams. [WITNESS #1] also stated they called other family members that stay in the area and they all left in four separate vehicles before the police arrived.

Contact was made with [VICTIM #1], in the living room area of the residence. [VICTIM #1] stated he just got two of his daughters yesterday from their mother ([REDACTED]). He stated they are supposed to be with him for two weeks. [VICTIM #1] stated while they were playing outside, [REDACTED] arrived to the residence unannounced. [VICTIM #1] stated she was trying to get the children’s tablet however, when the verbal altercation stated he told them to leave before he call the cops. [VICTIM #1] stated when he turned away from [REDACTED] and Williams, Williams ran up on him and started the physical altercation. [VICTIM #1] also stated in the midst of the physical altercation between him and Williams, Williams unintentionally hit [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in the face. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he sustained a red right eye and a busted lip on the right side. [VICTIM #1] stated he did not need EMS. Contact was made with [REDACTED], by phone. [REDACTED] stated her daughters were not supposed to take their tablets to their dad’s house. [REDACTED] stated she tracked the tablets down with GPS and pulled up to the residence unannounced. [REDACTED] stated when she arrived she called [VICTIM #1] and told him to tell the girls to come to the vehicle. [REDACTED] stated [VICTIM #1] walked up to the vehicle with eggs in his hand and after he threw the egg at the vehicle, it went from there. When I asked [REDACTED] what did she mean by it went from there she stated Williams was upset because it was his vehicle. [REDACTED] stated there was no physical altercation however, when I mentioned [VICTIM #1]’ injuries she stated Williams and [VICTIM #1] did get into a physical altercation because of the egg being thrown at the vehicle. She stated they did not stay on scene because she called back to cancel the call that was placed to dispatch. [REDACTED] was not corruptive with the address and phone number for Williams. Contact was not made with Williams.

[WITNESS #1] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] both submitted volunteer witness statements. I submitted all parties’ information through GCIC/NCIC for any active warrants but yielded negative results.

I observed a pinkish right eye and bloody busted lip on the right side of [VICTIM #1]’ face. Photos of [VICTIM #1] were captured for evidence. These photos will be properly packaged and logged into Property Management at the Law Enforcement Center in locker 02.

Due to witness statements and physical evidence Williams will be charged with City – Disorderly Conduct.
